I Have A Blog??

You see, I've had two kids. I've slept a lot. I have lots of responsibilities that I pretend to take care of. Who has time to blog?? Much less remember they have a blog??

What's a 'blog' again? *grin*

What's it been, a year and half?? Something like that!

Hi, my name is Amber, and I am a fair weather blogger. I like to blog when I have fun things to talk about, like how cute my kids are or something ridiculous I got caught doing! That really hasn't been our story for the past few years. So I wasn't really in the mood to talk to you, the Inter Web!
But, I've come to the realization that since only 3.5 people read this blog I should document more for the sake of my memory. Because its fading fast, God bless it.

The short version recap of the past two years goes something like this:

At 31, Nathan enlisted in the Texas Air National Guard, and was put on a waiting list for BMT. (Basic Military Training)

*Insert the longest and most challenging year of our lives here*

During the chaos came a sassy surprise, Miss Emma Lynn.

Nathan leaves for BMT. Tears, wailing, gnashing of teeth. It was cool.

Nathan graduated from BMT after three months away from his wife, son, and brand new baby girl.

Reunion!! Tears, ugly crying, hugs.... Sea World!

We move to San Angelo, Tx for 6 months. Don't know where that is? It's where dirt goes to vacation.

After San Angelo, we moved to Houston, Tx by order of the U.S government. Houston? Really?? That's where you have to chew the air to breathe. Oh the humidity!

Present day. Here we are.
If you would have told me a year ago that we would be living in Houston, Tx and absolutely loving it, I probably would've slapped you in the mouth and ran the other way. Because I'm usually only brave for a second or two!

You see, God has a funny way of making life funny for a funny person.
I only wanted what any reasonable human being would want during times of absolute craziness. I just wanted it all to make sense.
But, instead of sense we got faith.
We no longer have a 'normal', and I have a sneaking suspicion that that was intentional.
God only knows whats next.... literally!

To be continued.......
